Tartan Day Celebration

The Tartan Terrors

The Capital District Celtic Cultural Association will present an evening of live entertainment featuring The Tartan Terrors.

The Tartan Terrors, North America's Premiere Celtic Comedy Event, are professional performers known for taking traditional Celtic music and dance, mixing it with rock and roll and blending in their own unique Scottish comedy.

Artistic directors, brother and sister team, Ian and Ellen Irmisch create the 'joie de vivre' of their shows with help from a tightly bound group of international performers. The blistering dexterity of two-time world champion, Sean McKeown (bagpipes, small pipes, penny whistle), the international sounds of Todd Loughry (percussion, didgeridoo, ukulele, singing saw, triangle), the funky bass beat of Pete Corneil (vocals, percussion), Steve Sinnicks' masterful touch on guitar and percussion, and Ian Irmisch's spirited bodhran beats set the musical background for a phenomenal experience.

Think it's all in the music? Innovative choreographer Ellen Irmisch and acclaimed dancer Chrissy Cvetkovic will remind you how Celtic dance wa meant to be. Throw in a lot of laughter from the highly skilled antics of comedian Meg Wilkes Irmisch and you've got the best of the best when it comes to performance.

Doors open at 7:00 PM, entertainment begins at 8:00 PM.

This show is not recommended for young children.

Tickets: To Charge by Phone - (518) 479-1029.
